What is the style of my photos?

Delicate, artistic, sensual and at the same time stylish, editorial, glamorous – that’s how I describe my photos.

There are no bright colors in my photos, no bright reds, yellows or greens, my blue is also subdued.
The photos are enveloped in a warm and slightly brownish hue. They are more dark than light. They often play with contrasting sunlight and shadows.
I really like creating sensual portraits against a natural background, but I also like ruins and palaces.
I like sensual artistic photos, but I also really like stylish pictures that seem to have come out of magazines with a touch of fashion.
In my photos, people do not jump with colorful umbrellas, do not hold each other on their palms and do not use props.
My stylish young people do not hide behind birch trees, they are not angry.
My couples are not afraid of strands caught in the wind dancing and thrown over their faces and eyes.
In my photos, people love, are loved, feel, rejoice, kiss, sometimes have their eyes closed, hug, caress each other, are not afraid to smile broadly and be sensual.
I take exactly such photos. Because I don’t see them any other way.
Let’s meet, if you like exactly such photos, and not other ones

What is retouched and edited in my photos?

You know what phrase photographers don’t like the most – „Oh, you’ll fix this in Photoshop”. No, unfortunately we won’t.
We can’t do everything, we don’t have time for everything. You need to prepare for a photo shoot in a way that doesn’t require you to fix things that are not usually fixed.
If you haven’t had time to fix your manicure, we won’t do it, unfortunately.
If you haven’t put on makeup – we won’t put it on.
If you haven’t ironed your clothes – we definitely won’t iron the wrinkles in your clothes in every photo.
Believe me, if we did such things, the price of a photo shoot would be completely different, because we could accept at least ten times fewer clients per year. It’s one thing to beautify your face, but it’s quite another to fix your nails, remove braces, remove body hair or change your hair color  1f609 Wedding photographer Laura Žygė

To avoid nuances that seem simple and obvious to you, but
are not feasible for me, I decided to explain what my photo retouching and editing includes and what it does not. 1f642 Wedding photographer Laura Žygė

My photo editing and retouching includes:

Color change – bright colors (such as red, yellow, green, pink, orange, bright blue) are suppressed, color saturation and intensity are changed, and photos are given a brownish tone. Shades and colors in photos may differ from colors in reality, and shades may also change due to changing lighting conditions during the day.
Face retouching – removal of redness, shine, and acne. Shadows falling on the eyes, eyelids, and teeth are softened. Eyes and, if necessary, teeth are minimally lightened. Random strands that have fallen unaesthetically on the face are removed. Where necessary, facial contours are adjusted with the help of shadows and lightening. Facial color and brightness are evened out. Wrinkles are minimally softened. Scars and moles are removed if desired separately.
Body color and brightness are evened out.
Body lines are edited only where aesthetics require it – hands pressed too tightly, a hunchback caused by a head lowered too much, etc.
In some photos, unnecessary objects are removed where necessary – individual pieces of garbage, poles, random people, etc.
In several photos, photo manipulation may be performed by slightly changing the objects (buildings, trees, flowers, spaces) in the photo – cloning, transforming, stretching, in order to fill the background and give the photo more impression.
In order to enhance the image, the train and drapes of dresses may be lengthened and stretched in several photos.
In several photos, sun and light flash effects may be used, which occurred naturally when shooting against the sun or added in post-processing.

My definition of retouching does not include:

Drastic correction of body shapes and facial features
Changing hair color and eliminating gray hair
Applying makeup
Changing hairstyles or removing every single hair that sticks out
Removing braces or aesthetic dental fillings
Doing manicures
Removing body hair, tattoos, and protruding veins
Changing the shape and color of clothes, smoothing out every crease in every photo
Repainting, renovating buildings, rooms, churches, repairing sidewalks, etc.
Photo editing
The real background of photos is not changed – people are not moved from one place to another
People who were not photographed are not glued in the photos.
Objects that were not in the photos are not glued.
People and objects that cannot be removed properly and for which the Photographer is not responsible – for example, if a person sneaks in front of the Photographer and blocks the young people while they are walking to the altar, they will not be removed from the photo.

What is my experience?

I have been photographing since 2012. I photograph 20-30 weddings and dozens of photo shoots every year. I have currently photographed over 250 weddings.
